MACTE Spring CONFERENCE

Proposals are currently being accepted for the MACTE Spring 2026 Conference on Friday, March 13, 2026, at the Publick House Historic Inn in Sturbridge, Massachusetts. This conference provides a platform for participants to learn about and discuss topics relevant to educator preparation in early childhood and PreK-12 educational settings.

Call for Presentations

The Spring 2026 MACTE conference theme is Calling on Community: Collaborating to Prepare Confident Teachers in Challenging Times. Priority will be given to proposals that align with the conference theme. All presentations will be one hour. Topics for consideration include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Building/Growing Collaborative Partnerships with PreK-12 Schools
  • Supervising Practitioner and Program Supervisor Collaboration
  • Collaborative Efforts to Support Teacher Candidates in Challenging Times
  • Collaborating on the Candidate Assessment of Performance (CAP)
  • Professional Learning Communities Focused on Educator Preparation
  • Improving Teacher Candidate Learning Through Collaborative Feedback
  • Considering the Role of Families, Caregivers, and Community in Ed Prep
  • Centering Student Voices and Views in Educator Preparation
  • Maintaining Strong District-Teacher Preparation Program Partnerships
  • Collaborating Across Teacher Education Programs to Improve Ed Prep
  • Collaborating in Educator Preparation on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
 
Proposal Requirements
MACTE is looking for proposals that address problems of practice that impact the educator preparation community. While proposals are encouraged to be grounded in research, MACTE seeks opportunities to engage participants thoughtfully and to establish productive spaces for discussing complexities and exploring solutions. Successful proposals must include the following information:
  • Title of Session
  • Session Description
  • What specific problem of practice related to educator preparation will your session address?
  • What is the significance of this problem for educator preparation? Discuss the complexities you have encountered in working to address it. What strategies have you employed to navigate these challenges and their outcomes?
  • What strategies or methods will you use to actively engage participants?
  • What key insights, tools, or actionable ideas will participants gain from your presentation?

Proposal Submission: January 20, 2026
You can submit your proposal online at https://bit.ly/macteconference2026  by January 20, 2026. If your proposal is accepted, all presenters must register and pay for the 2026 MACTE Spring Conference.

Registration Information
The cost is $135 for General Admission and $70 Graduate Students.
